LOVE 3



Shhhhhh!  Let's keep this between us. They asked me what I saw in you.  Smack to my face! WTF!? Interrogation, that was both unnecessary and insulting. 
You see, never did anyone become the beheld of all. My choice at that moment, was a turn between opening their eyes to my well scrutinized, self cherished, idea of beauty or defend my taste in this categorized world, where those who saw no box are questioned and rebuked. 
Instead I bite my tongue and smile to the bliss; of the thought of you walking into a room.  Forgive me for not defending your honor, understand me when I say I was scared.  Thoughts of them inside my altar of all things you. 
How would they possibly understand the love you give; the melt on my knees when you smile, the sad on my throat when a heart so beautiful has to suffer an itch.  Would they ever comprehend; that when my body meets yours the heavens open in praise and the shell that is deep inside is filled with hope for a day? A time when lovers shall laugh, when HER face shall be worshiped without abuse, when people shall commit to joy and illuminate each soul to its highest of fulfillment, when her smile shall be guarded better than the technological trends we embrace  to paint her fixable, superficial, materialistic, objectifiable, ugly, unworthy, usable and straight out whore.  Forgetting the part we played to dry the paint to soulless.  Birthing daughters that never get to see the brilliance that is their potential. Labeled each of her fantasies of respect, honor and faithfulness as only series to follow through a well- made up actress journeying through each season of a show that depicts the diary entries she made. Back when she was sure that the world is open for her conquer.  When she saw a hero in her and had hope of finding somebody that will treat her better than they did mummy.  One who makes her laugh and grow with no repression or dictation. She may have been lost; she may have opened a few too many of her gaps in search of that which shall beat to hers.  But when I look at it now, she was that gift,that lift to realization.  That love is, those smiles we share and the dark nights when 'You will be fine' is whispered. It's when dreams are honored and the light of each allowed to shine. Love is when you realize breathes, images and when music sounds a little better with her hands in yours. It's when you look at her and you realize the shadow of your past has melted away and the moment is all that matters, generously giving you many more. Coz love is that light in you, that awakening of the gifts each holds inside. It’s the offering of you that shall be shared with those that give it back.
As I was saying, they wouldn't understand any of that explanation which makes me smile; knowing cupid had my best interests, when he decided that I now deserve love that’s in my language. Holding on to the long lost belief of a love that intends good was not a waste and faith rewards those that live true to their dreams. Those souls surely find each other and each passing pain is used to learn and those who give joyous times shall surely receive more. Quid pro quo.

WHO RUN THE WORLD???

GAYS!! So I did it again...running my mouth, in this case my fingers got me blogging right now when my time would be so awesomely divided in my work. Its started today in the morning when I got a text from my boss that Kiss FM just advertised the Programs Coordinator vacancy we have at The Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Kenya where I work as the Research officer. Yes! earthlings, I work with them.  The first mistake that heterosexuals make is starting any statement with the 'THEM' word. Early in the week I was in a panel conducting interviews and some guy kept saying THEM while referring to the LGBTI (Lesbian, Gays, Bi-sexuals, Transgender and Intersex) for those of you who need the basics.  My morning got wayyyyyy more interesting when I got to work and checked out Caroline Mutoko's update that was actually a job advert for the position. POLLS!

hehehehehe It is disrespectful and silly of me to have such lovely people reading and take so long to write. So this shall be me paying up my dues….(30mins later) Now I have started writing this blog thrice and I give myself an excuse of why I should not make ‘that’ a public reading when I start. Making it obvious that I have been having so much trouble writing simply because that voice in my head (I got a few too many) can’t stop giving me excuses on why not. So we shall work with me writing about whatsoever I wanna write about and you reading only what holds your interests (like when was it not, some may ask?).
